Oshane Ximines (Old Dominion) spoke with NBC Sports Bay Area’s Jennifer Chan, and appreciated the techniques he learned from Kiffin, and said, “I definitely got better in these three days.”Ximines entered the Senior Bowl coming off a huge redshirt senior season at Old Dominion. He had 11.5 sacks and 18 tackles for a loss, to go along with two pass deflections and four forced fumbles. ODU is in FBS, but the level of competition is not the same as you’d see from Montez Sweat, Nick Bosa, and Josh Allen. The Senior Bowl gave Ximines a chance to stand out in facing a higher level of competition in practice. Derrik Klassen noted that Ximines “showed more natural feel for adjusting on the fly and getting by a tackle by any means necessary. He completed 62.2 percent of his passes and also was laying the ball in key positions on his receivers could get. The problem was, the receivers were not catching the ball. One such pass bounced off the hands of Garrett Celek and turned into an interception. Others were just a matter of timing things wrong from his pass catchers. Beathard also had to deal with numerous offensive line injuries as the game went on, almost getting knocked out himself on a play late in the game. The Cardinals may be a step down from the Chargers, but their defense is still no joke and the fact it’s a divisional game means it’s going to be a rough day for both teams. For Week 5, the Cardinals have been fighting their own injury issues. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) is questionable (and has been held to under 200 yards for the season). DT Robert Nkemdiche is also questionable with a foot issue. For the 49ers, wide receiver Dante Pettis (knee) is out this week. Cornerback Jimmie Ward has been listed as questionable after tweaking his hamstring Thursday. Wide Receiver Marquese Goodwin (hamstring, quad) is a game time decision.
